About Me

I am a Ph.D. student at the Dept. of Physics, KAIST, advised by Prof. Hawoong Jeong. Currently, I have my interests in the latest advances in AI from a physicist's perspective.

My work focuses on the interdisciplinary field of physics and AI. Specifically, my research aims to solve the problems in physics with the help of AI, and vice versa, to understand the behaviour and functions of AI through the lens of physics.

I also enjoy brewing myself a good cup of coffee ☕️, working out at the gym 🏋️, and playing the violin 🎻.

📚 My Research

Currently, I’m interested in various areas that can attract the attention of both physicists and AI researchers; 1) many topics from statistical physics, including (but not limited to) phase transitions, critical phenomena of complex systems, 2) recent advances in deep learning, such as diffusion models, hyperbolic representations, GNNs, PINNs, etc., 3) or the (likely) intersection of the two, from learning dynamics to mechanistic interpretability of neural networks.

I look to solve complicated problems in physics or complex systems with the help of AI, and try to understand the behavior or the hidden nature of deep neural networks.

If you share the same spirit, please reach out to collaborate. 😃
